Sleeper - Driving User Education, Security & Growth

Overview

Working for an all-in-one sports super app, I wore multiple design hats, including Research, UX Design, Visual and 3D Design to create solutions for user education, security features and brand collaborations.

Impact

· Improved new user onboarding through interactive tutorials
· Increased amount of KYC’d accounts preventing fraud risks
· Led 7 usability studies for new features’ onboarding, uncovering insights to boost task completion rate

Context

Project 1: Sleeper X Poppi - Web Ad Placement

Find places in the user journey that place highlight upcoming brand collaborations.

The promo code is for 3-4 months (depending on the country) of free Spotify Premium and is applicable only for users who haven't previously been Spotify paid subscribers. It's interesting to note that Spotify has never partnered with a dating app before!

Project 1: Sleeper X Poppi - Web Ad Placement

Problem

Identify opportunities in fantasy sports' drafting user journey to highlight upcoming brand collaborations.

Solution / my role

Created motion graphics at key parts of the user's journey, highlighting collaboration with Poppi.

Impact

Parity between mobile and desktop ad placements. Creates opportunities for future brand collaborations.

Project 2: PICKS Tutorial

Problem

Educating first-time users on how to play PICKS - Sleeper’s most popular daily fantasy sports game.

Solution / my role

Designed an interactive tutorial that allows users to learn how to play PICKS. Incentivizing users to verify identity with a free entry promo.

Project 3: Prediction Market Upsell + Education

Problem

Playing prediction markets can be confusing for first-time users due to jargon-heavy content.

Solution / my role

Clarified commonly confused terms by providing a tips page and deep-linking to an in-depth game guide.

Improved user understanding of playing prediction markets, reducing first-entry friction.
